are you a prophet? cause the message is loud and clear
Good material. Thanks. Those names could make some confusion, but in fact, they are based on adaptative-sync vesa standard.

I have a 60hz monitor and looking forward to change it soon. So this video helped. As I have nvidia gpu i should get the g sync monitor.
Yes, but no. I had an older Acer 1080p monitor with a gsync chipset. It was amazing for that era.
Now, I’ve had multiple Gsync compatibles. An Asus, a Samsung G7 / G9 Neo(mini-LED), and finally this $1700 LG 45″ 3440×1440 monitor. The last two using HDMI 2.1 off a 4090. Tested on DisplayPort to be sure.
Still I chased the smoothness experienced with the old Acer monitor.
After the LG I finally folded and bought an old stock AW3423DW. GSync Ultimate.
Now I have it – liquid glass frame delivery.
As a counterpoint – the LG did HDR a bit better – but oh man it was terrible if I disabled frame gen and let it get down around 60fps. The Alienware is “acceptable” with the same settings.
I’ve been playing north of 100 fps for a while and can’t go back to that jumpy mess that is console territory.
So yah – I ordered a second AW34DW. Tested it and stuck it in the closet for when this one burns in.
