  1. To be fair, with the vertical mouse you’re not supposed to wag your wrist back and forth, you’re supposed to pivot at the elbow and move your entire forearm side to side with your wrist elevated above the pad/desk. Keep your wrist aligned with your forearm. Upping the speed is also recommended with vertical mouses. It took me about 2 weeks to get used to.

  2. I get the great observations with the shapes but what fixed my RSI was returning to WIRED keyboard and mouse.
Once my soft tissue was no longer exposed to the CONSTANT frequencies of the wireless, my life changed and I healed.
The pain had made working a TORTURE but now I’m free and recovered fully.
Its the damn phone in my hand that also had to be placed in a ‘holder’ to use to give me some distance. It works.
Grounding periodically, standing on the grass barefoot, discharges the body’s electrical build up and that’s a great addition too… so take computer breaks for your body and eyes, OUTSIDE! Get WIRED back to Ethernet etc as much as possible.

  3. if you can, force yourself to learn to use a mouse/trackball with your non-dominant hand. Save your dominant hand for when you need precision and extra control.
