In this video, we look at the Smart Water Valve by Moen, called the Flo. This Moen Flo is able to turn on and off your main water connection, even remotely. It also monitors your water usage, and sends you an email each week, letting you know how much water you used. Finally, it also monitors for small water leaks, such as toilets or faucets, or large pipe bursts, which is great. What sucks is that there are often false alarms, and it needs to be restarted to connect to wifi now and again. All in all a cool device though.

Thanks for the video! I just had one of these installed yesterday. Unfortunately mine was placed in the far corner of a dark, dirty, and low crawlspace. I’d really hate to have to get back there to it. It was a struggle for me and the plumber to get the unit to pair with my phone but we finally did. Do these units come with an owner’s manual? All I got was an installation guide.
