I want to edit my video’s easier and also game and stream so I guess the best option is an ultra wide on the bottom and a normal one on top.
The issue I’ve face with dual monitor setups is mainly related to windows itself and how it handles scaling. Applications can freak out, appear massive on one monitor and then tiny on the next or in the case of games like Barony not evne recognize the monitor you set it to originally and then span the entire viewing surface.
the sacrifices of using an ultrawide aren’t that big. If I’m streaming to people I stream individual windows anyway. I hate the idea of streaming a whole desktop when there’s nothing really stopping a window going rogue and appearing on the monitor I’m trying to prevent people seeing things on.
My only complaint is I should have invested in a super ultrawide for that 2x 16:9 screen real estate. And even then those support PiP and can act as two 16:9 monitors with no bezels.
i have a 34 inch ultrawide monitor too and i use laptop as my secondary screen so i can play the youtube on it and have the whole ultrawide screen for my studies
Mine is a 34″ ultrawide with a 30″ 4k 16:9 curved on top, wall mounted, slight downward angle.
My home office, I have a vertical stack dual horizontal 32 inch monitors. My work office is have dual 24 inch side by side layout with one screen turned vertical. I always wondered if an ultra wide would have been better but the trade offs mentioned in this video may not be for me.
