False alerts and wifi disconnects. I’m taking them all out… Last night for example we got 6 alerts that there was smoke in our master bedroom. There was none…. No Smoke, No Steam, nothing. The only solution was to remove it, take out the battery and curse at this company. Terrible product, terrible support, just terrible!
Replaced our Nest alarms with this product. In less than 1 year, we are now on our 3rd replacement with First Alert due to false alarms. I’m sending back for a refund.
I had 11 nest protects, nest app had issues about 7-8 years in, and they were nearing end of life any… Switched the whole house to the hardwired replacement from first. Endless false alarms, I know it’s not a location issue since we had 7 years plus in every single location. Multiple devices would exhibit false alarms in the middle of the night. Traumatizing experience. No one should buy these, it should be illegal to sell this. First will point you to get a refund from whomever you bought from. The clear answer is class action lawsuit. Unbelievable such second grade quality is allowed to enter the market for a safety product.
